HabWiz never holds your money. Every payment moves through Stripe straight to the Professional’s bank account — the platform fee is the only amount that comes to HabWiz. Rates above apply per payment; a larger project may involve more than one, such as an advance and a final payment.

Worked example: a $600 job means the homeowner is charged $630, the pro is paid $570 directly to their bank account via Stripe, and HabWiz keeps the $60 difference.

Does it cost anything to post a job?

No. Creating an account, posting a job, and browsing bids are all free for homeowners.

When does HabWiz get paid?

Only when you approve payment for completed work — never before, and never if a job doesn’t happen.

How do Professionals get paid?

As soon as a Client approves a completed job, Stripe deposits the payout directly into the Professional’s bank account. HabWiz never receives or holds that money — only its 5% fee is deducted automatically along the way.

Are handymen verified?

Profiles can display optional ID-verification and background-check badges, alongside ratings and reviews from past jobs.

Is my payment information safe?

Yes. Payments are processed securely through Stripe — HabWiz never stores your card details.

Can I post bigger renovation projects, not just quick repairs?
